Had a great and enjoyable conversation yesterday with Boise singer-songwriter Fiona Luray. We talked about her love of musicals, how her songwriting has changed since she started out in 2010, the new album she's working on, even farming.
Fiona was also kind enough to play a few of her songs, including one from her upcoming album. Look for that episode to drop in May.
Featuring songwriters from Boise and the surrounding Treasure Valley of SW Idaho and Eastern Oregon.

One More Source
Just a quick follow-up to Friday's post. You can now listen to Measured Voices through Google Play Music. (Just click on the button over to the right of your monitor screen.) I'm working to get it on Spotify. After that, I'll also look at getting it on Stitcher. Stay tuned for updates as I work to bring the podcast to a source near you.

Availability Update, Tweaks
Two episodes in, and the tweaking continues. I've been working to change the artwork for the podcast. That is, I think, still a work in progress, especially as I look at the artwork used by others around the podosphere. (Is that a word? If not, it should be.)
I also decided to refine the subtitle and description a bit to make it a little less of a mouthful. I think the new subtitle and description are a little easier to read while saying basically the same thing.
I'm now in the process of having my podcast added to Google Play Music, for those of you who consume content there. I've also submitted the podcast to Spotify for addition, but since my hosting platform is not one of the ones currently listed (supported?) on Spotify, that process is less certain.
Because of that and a couple of other concerns, I am considering a move to a different hosting platform. I like that my current host is free, but there is no guarantee that will stay the case.
I have an alternate hosting service picked out (I think), but I may not make any decision for a little while yet. Stay tuned to these pages. (How's that for a cliffhanger?)

Episode 002 - Johnny Boy Kunk
Yes, boys and girls. It's time for our second episode of Measured Voices. Everybody dance now! (Sorry, I should have resisted that temptation, but I just couldn't.)
Johnny Boy Kunk, Delta Blues artist, joins Walt for a conversation about how a California boy ends up playing the blues in Boise. We’ll also talk about why he sings the blues, how he approaches songwriting, his experiences in the home of Delta Blues, and the response he’s gotten from Boise audiences. In between, Johnny will share a few of his songs.
Follow Johnny Boy Kunk and keep track of his schedule on Facebook.
You can also follow Measured Voices on Facebook as well.
If you have questions, comments, or suggestions (or you just want to say hi, just drop us a line at measuredvoices@gmail.com and be watching for future episodes!

Editing Day!
I'm spending the day working on Measured Voices Episode Two, featuring Johnny Boy Kunk. Given that today feels more like February than it does April, it sure beats working outside. I feel for the guys working out in our yard.
Episode two promises to be a good conversation with some even better music. Hope you'll tune in when the episode drops April 10!
